At Activ Foundation, we believe in empowering people with disability to achieve their goals and connect with their community. Meet Jenny, a young adult who lives with autism and medical issues who, with our support, has been able to thrive and pursue her passions.
One activity that has had a significant impact on Jenny’s life is the Activ Heartbeats performing arts program. Through this program, Jenny has been able to develop her confidence and social skills. She has found a sense of belonging and acceptance at Activ’s Beaconsfield Hub where she participates in the program each week, a place where she can truly be herself with great friends by her side. Jenny’s love for performing has flourished in this supportive environment.
In addition to performing, Jenny also has a great love of animals. She is studying animal care at TAFE and dreams of one day working at Australia Zoo, particularly with reptiles. Jenny’s mum Anita credits Activ with this big step.
